No flooding near me...but heavy rain spoiled my golf this afternoon...or maybe that was just my bad play!

Hook it to a few balloons filled with helium (not hydrogen!), and also add a few sacks filled with sand to be able to adjust the height of your vehicle to exactly the height you feel safe with, be it six or hundred meters above the ground.

Helium stored in metal cannisters, can be bought in shops or stock houses, dealing with laboratory or educational equipment and materials.

Note that helium easily escape even the tightest sealed balloons, so be prepared to loose some during the times the balloons are filled, say overnight, sitting idle.

Early attempts, were not very promising though, but given enough design-effort, you just might succeed

Hi Ayooluwa,

I just happen to have a working anti-gravity device. I can easily retrofit it to most any motorcycle or bicycle. Send me lots of $$$$ and I'll fax detailed plans and blueprints.

It has been done by attaching a large hang glider to the motorcycle.

Look up old issues of Mechanics Illustrated or Popular Science.

They are called microlights and are flying every day!

...ooooh no they have three wheels.

Buy a microlight and remove one wheel!

Several sticks of dynamite (or similar) attached to the bottom of the motorcycle crankcase should get you up there in the air quite quickly.......now the coming down, probably without your feet might be a problem that needs to be fixed......

If they build 6m high fences around you they could have a reason. Ask them to take them down for a day and start from scratch. Hope this helps either party. Ky.

To see the detailed plans for this go to www.haveaball.tv

Mount your bike with it facing North. Have the remote control ready in hand. Press the red button. The wrecking ball should be on a perfectly measured pedulum swinging South to North. Please, do not mix it up and accidentally face your bike South. I saw that once, not pretty. Now once the button is pushed hold on tight and you should reach a six foot elevation no problem.

I have heard that a jato (jet assisted take off) pack has been used for simular projects. It was used on a chevrolet and achieved a height of about 100 feet and unknown speed. However, The use of a cliff face for breaking proved very detremental to the project and driver/pilot.

For a bunch of engineers, you fellers are awfully snarky.

Why not treat this as an honest challenge question?

OK let's see. . . 6 meters above the ground. Sustained, powered flight? Or just up and down again? Let's see. . . hmmm. . . yeah, this guy is going to kill himself.

Snark away boys!

Build a life size one of these, should prove very effective in achieving your 6m of flight.

This is the only pedal powered machine I'm aware of that managed a sustained flight. If you want a flying motorcycle then, as suggested earlier, you are looking at something like a microlight or possibly a gyro-copter.

This is a rhetorical question right? The Answer is in the question FLY! If you need a consultant Evel Knievel is probably your best choice, and he could probably even recommend some good doctors.

Re: flying object

You didn't say if this is 6m in altitude or 6m distance. If altitude is the issue, I suggest Munky's solution of a 7m cliff for ease of implementation and simple elegance. Given enough speed prior to launch, you might make the 6m distance as well.

If a 7m cliff is not an option, or you can't get the 6m distance, then the best fall back is Andy Germany's recommendation of explosives. Heck, you might get altitude and distance in several directions simultaneously!

Our friend has by now all the parts to build a Scorn Propulsion System (SPS). Hope he's not to offended and will take off in the end.

Re: flying object

All sarcasm aside, the closest you have to a serious answer is using current ultra and micro-light technologies, such as a hang-glider delta wing, rigid wing (helium filled?) or parasail attached to your vehicle, propelled by a push prop or ducted fan, possibly powered by a take-off from the vehicle's existing engine/motor, or a separate motor. However, as earlier intimated, a trike (3-wheeled) would be a better conversion than a bicycle or motorcycle (2-wheeled) for its inherent stability during take-off and landing, although you could incorporate "training wheels" to provide stability. Personally, I like the idea of an aluminum-framed moped trike conversion, with power take-off from the moped motor, and a parasail so you could land, pack up everything onto the trike, and pedal/motor off down the road.

Still though wouldn't it be fun to take a bike, or a trike, and mount this J-35 on it:

Or even simpler, a JATO:

Maybe not practical, but then, neither was Kneivel...
