Balanced.

  • Do your own homework. CR4 is not a homework cheat site. While some here might relish the opportunity to sharpen up old rusty skills by working the homework problem, consider the following and consider it well. If you cheat on your homework by using someone else's answers, you are only cheating yourself, because the purpose of any homework or other academic assignments is to help you learn - by practice, repetition, and self-discovery.
  • That includes taking tests and answering job interview questions.

The result of such cheating is sometimes revealed here by the stupid questions asked by some people who cannot do their own jobs later in life.

Some specific examples come to mind, bu other regulars will know who they are.

Why? I did my homework, myself. I know how to properly capitalize and punctuate. I also know how to use the built-in spellchecker. I despise laziness!

Good point about laziness.

Our helpless member soma, somehow managed to find this forum. Perhaps his mother did it for him, I don't know.

Both of his ridiculous questions are far to broad to be meaningful in any technical sense.

And by simply copying his mangled question into Google I got (the spelling corrected) and about 418,000 results (0.72 seconds) Showing results for explain the desirable mechanical properties for gas-turbine blade

soma, PAY ATTENTION!!! Go to the site below and learn to help yourself.

At least Legolaz and Kulas showed an understanding of their questions. They both asked a few dumb questions, too. Then again, who hasn't been stupid at one time or another.

With regard to the two nut-jobs you mention, I can find nothing positive to say about either one. Plenty of negatives, for sure.

Me stupid? Guilty, as charged.

hey, you ain't putting the fire off, lyn. But it's ok, I can live with that, I can not be your enemy ever(may be first impression last)- I somehow know you're a sweet person, may be by instinct.

Re: Electromechanical Design

What is 'electromechanical' about a turbine blade ? i know that a turbine blade is part of a turbine ->which may drive a generator -> which generates electricity. Rather far-fetched if i may say so.

A circuit breaker would be an ideal electromechanical design example. Lots of mechanical parts, lots of clever linkages all working together to switch on and off a set of contacts very rapidly to handle normal and very abnormal currents. Now, THAT is electromechanical. Not a turbine blade. Which may well be a part of the drive system of your car.....

Easy:

A) 100% efficient with no friction.

B) Easy manufactured and lasts forever with no maintenance.

C) Uses gas and a turbine, with one or more blades.

(Hope this wasn't too technical. It's not easy to explain this kind of this without boring details.)

Sometimes asking self questions would help your quest.

Say

1) What's in the gas turbine (Heat by combustion, Pressure, motion)- then from here grow your insights

  • probably, because of heat the material should be heat resistant
  • because it handles pressure, probably material is tough and shock resistant
  • because it's in motion material should have endurance to withstand prolonged angular motion

Then, search the internet and come back when you have doubts.

Ideasmith says "Common sense dictates", I say its true.
