Sorry Fredski, seems you are exhibiting a bit of Dunning-Kruger Effect. You state that your photo was a "launch last night" when the photo you posted was actually 10 years old from a launch in 2005.
Though we all enjoy your quizzes they are much more fun when your actually correct, we wouldn't want to think you were an idiot who believes everything he sees on the internet. it makes for an interesting discussion anyway!
if you feel my skills are overrated you're welcome to pass up my threads. I was aware the pic was a "stock" photo but nothing about the event was incorrect.but more importantly do you still think it was the Iss or a pic of a launch of a missile from Vandenberg?
you're an idiot, it starts at the bottom and travels on a ballistic trajectory. I included links to both the story as well as the actual launch. it is not a picture of something falling or moving across the night sky like a satellite.
yeah I am a bit dumb at a times, I just didn't realise that you had given the answer away after a couple of jokey posts. You must be very smart, especially since you have all the answers.
It all depends on when the shutter was opened. Could be going up or coming down. The break between ground and the start, or end, of the trail was when the shutter was closed.

There's also the possibility the rocket launches behind a mountain range. Did I forget to mention the Photoshop possibility. Remember, everything you find on the internet is real.
