	Lack of sag can be an even worse problem in power lines, such as if they break or pull poles over. The term "maximum sag" can have at least three different definitions, none of them matching that of the OP. __________________ In vino veritas; in cervisia carmen; in aqua E. coli.

	Not all the time,... some designs incorporated catenary sag in its designs as a natural tensioner. 	S=WL2/8T S=WL (squared) /8T W=weight of conductor L= span length x span length T= Tension.
