"Small Generator 3" Project Homemade Free Time

04/19/2017 3:49 AM

"small generator 3" - powered with a 3,7 V batery 600 mAh can light a 230 V led bulb 7W E 27 and another generator powered with 1,2 V batery is lighting a Mr 16 230 W 3 W led bulb - " small generator with 1.2 V baterry"

channel: science toolbar

Construction details:

Things I used to create the generator for "small generator 2" :

3V Dc motor + plastic stalk ( inside “2 function toy” cars both parts; plastic stalk is used to fix the case of the toy car – the screw entrance in the plastic stalk)
7w AC led light bulb+ E 27 socket lead+ wires
3,7 v - 600 mah Li-Po battery ( mini drones)
Neodymium magnet sphere diameter 12.7 mm + neodymium magnet screw pot 12.7 mm (you need just the metallic case – remove the neodymium magnet from inside)
Copper coil (inside microwave oven turntable motor)
Construction kit (toys) plastic and metal–used for the coil and the 3v dc motor holder

for any questions regarding construction details do not hesitate to contact us and ideas regarding the improvment of our generators educational purpose

PS: is not inductive coupling.

Not that it matters, but I would really like to know how old you are? I am 51, Little Ghost is 16, tcmtech is 45, 46ish. Please share, how old are you?

Ok, proof, you will not answer any question we ask. You are a sad little man.

Your age will not change the way anyone thinks of you.

I think you are young and immature, my opinion is still that you have demonstrated inductive coupling...That has not changed.

with all the respect for you and for the audience read betewen the lines and you will understand why I am doing this and why I don't share to many details......do not look at it as a generator......maybe someone ( it doesn't have to be an engineer will find a suitable aplication regarding the magnetic field generated by the sphere) which can help people.......

Well I can assure you the comments were not from me, I dont have a you tube log in.

Score 1 for TCM who guessed the cap arrangement and not a SMPS inside the bulb.

The second video where the motor sounds strange, and its a different light. The effect is because the current is too low to keep the light going.

Can you measure the distance from the bottom of the motor to the top of coil, in the longer shaft one please, still looks too close but what figures did you get?

With distance and V and I figures I can replicate. Also can you measure the angle? I can guess it but guessing isnt my thing.

When I said different bulb I was talking filament bulb of low voltage like torch. Sorry for confusion.

Try and keep the experiments to a filament bulb and single type of the low wattage ones. It keeps the number of variables down. 7 more days and my wire is here, I will do more tests. Best I can do is pictures though.

Not sure what you mean by fixed magnet, at some point you said it was just stuck on like a magnet and not fixed.

As soon as I can build a coil I will show you the best topology for a generator. Those energy saver bulbs are misleading, with capacitors etc inside your not getting a true picture.

No idea who commented I only just seen the video, but personally it isnt my style to post on you tube or face book etc. I stick to forums mainly.

30 degrees looks right but adds up wrong :S, you've got to cut down some variables. It's really difficult getting a baseline with so many moving targets.

I've got some stuff to take pics of at the weekend, mostly it should explain a few things. Regarding safety, wave wise it is harmless, out of everything you're using, the motor is the most dangerous.....so take it from me, you're perfectly safe.

Start getting some real power and then you might need to be careful with voltages. But EMF at those powers is nothing. Walk under a 330KV power line and you're exposed to more EMF than this could EVER produce.

I am very safety conscious and so nothing even tempts me to reach for the tin foil hat :P. Maybe people are feeding you stuff, they are basing their ideas on principles that don't come into significant play with this.

For what it's worth, I hold an Oscilloscope probe in each hand, and apart from in my lab, I pick up mains hum you see on the screen, that is way higher than what you're dealing with. The 50Hz signal swamps out the motor signal, so if it was a concern we would be wrapped in tin foil.
