I have to 2nd that question, I am a big boy also... I watched the video on yahoo earlier today and my first thought was I couldn't fly this thing. 6'1", 260 lbs....
But what I watched, it's for over water only...... I can float well, so maybe it is for me.

I don't float. Age 42 and could lose 20 pounds by my judgments yet still don't float anyway. (Tungsten infused skeleton apparently.)
Scuba diving class where I had to swim an ungodly distance, for a prairie dweller, then tread water unassisted for 15 more minutes after that in nothing but swim trunks was damn near.... yea, That bad.

Ok, Ok, I live in the Great Lakes region, I like to fish, ice fish, etc... Water is around me everywhere. If I couldn't float, I don't think I would be here.

I'm not a big water sports person given my lifelong lack of natural floating ability but that's also why scuba diving appealed to me. The whole point is to not float.
Haven't done it for some years now though. Diving in our lakes is like diving in mud for most of the year. 10 - 15 foot visibility is considered a clear body of water here.
Also the local diving shop and its clubs shut down a few years ago (owners went belly up on an outrageous home project and getting screwed over by crooked contractors building it) so now there's no one to work with on air tank rentals or gear servicing either.

Yes. All my life my body density index has been slightly higher than water and thus unless I am holding an unsustainably large breath I am not naturally buoyant.

And that's why fat people float. Ever watch fit people in a swimming pool compared to fat people?
Fit people barely keep their head above water if at all without some exertion and the fat people bob around chin or whole neck above the waterline without effort.

Every once in a while I have what I call, "bright days", but these are just energy spurts before I go swell into a red giant, then a couple years of dimming I will fall back to the wilderness and become one of the seven white dwarfs (sorry if some consider that racist).

In the present case, it is just Lithium ion (LI+), although development of the true Lithium cells (and batteries) is just about to domino.
The new Aluminum batteries could be even faster with faster charging and more cycles, and yes, these actually deposit Aluminum metal on the anode during charging (the anode is the plus terminal of the battery in service).
Neither of these new battery technologies is supposedly as hazardous as Li+ during internal short failure, not sure why, but it might have to do with better extended heat dissipation that limits the upper temperature during such events.
I still want a "garbage" battery that my De Lorean (if I had one) could one run on.

Vaporware.
Am I the only one here tired of seeing CGI of impossible flying machines passed-off as though they are real?
If Burt Rutan builds it, I'll believe it. Rutan is a genius designer of flying machines. IF it can be built, he'll do it. It won't be some CGI piece of nonsense with no avionics to control it, using unobtanium oxide as the fuel.
