How to Fix Unemployment

As presented, this sounds like an economic disaster.

Possibly consider not giving free money to able bodied people of working age. A few more details would need to be worked out, and a buffer is needed for temporary unemployment. But, in general, getting the fruits of your labor and not getting fruit when you don't labor is a pretty effective way to discourage professional unemployment.

IMHO: No politician will ever touch that hot potato.They will cut back on everything except that.

They won't cut back on their own pay though!

Unemployment is a safety net… but the economical disaster happening, is the benefits the illegal aliens are getting, And with the direction this country is headed, this is a picnic.

when

• our own vets are homeless
• riots in colleges while the entitled students making not only outrageous demands, but also derogatory statements about the country they live in.
• the invasion of the southern border…
• the leaders are in our adversaries back pocket with the big guy getting his 10% cut.

the list is long, due to lack of real leaders… but…

the orange Cheetos man is out… it’s interesting that one doesn’t hear from those same people who wanted it. Their getting what they wanted… and we’re all paying for it.

Keep in mind unemployment benefits is insurance that you and your employer pays for.

I felt that instead of have a designated say $10,000 for unemployment, to encourage getting a job by offering that the sooner you get a job, you could get half what’s left of your unemployment.

"What?! Me? Dig a hole? I've got a college education. I'm not going to go around digging holes!"

Yeah, there are people who won't take a job because they think it's "beneath" them.

My dad told me he worked as a houseboy (basically a male maid), a newspaper boy, a market hand (guys who carry products from delivery trucks to the different stalls), a truck driver, car mechanic, laboratory assistance, oil refinery engineer, and then on to a noil refinery superintendent for storage operations.

When I tell his story to young kids these days, they're not inspired. They don't want to go through all that hardship to get to their goals. It's sad, I tell you.

This sounds like the often misunderstood, and worst perceived instances of the WPA that FDR started after the depression. History doesn't exactly repeat itself but it certainly does rhyme.

In China,a friend of mine had a contract to do some work .He said there was a man standing by the door, and his job was to turn the lights on and off when needed.That was it.He was relieved by another worker to replace him at end of shift.

When a light bulb was replaced,the man that replaced it took a bulb out of his box and put it it.If it was a bad bulb be tried another one until he found a good one.He put the bad bulb back in his box for the next customer,and charged for changing every bulb that the tried.

China could claim no unemployment.Grass was cut with scissors,and the grass was collected to feed their livestock,and was considered part of their pay.

If a criminal was executed,the family received a bill for the bullet used.

I asked him how they moved heavy equipment,and he said "One inch at the time.Jack it up,put a rock under it and reposition the jack or wedge.Add another rock,etc till the job was done.Time and labor was not problem."

This was about 40 years ago,and I hear things are different now.

That is the principle behind a state-controlled economy. In order for that to happen, many jurisdictions will need to adjust their approaches to working practices.

War can cause that to happen.

If money is the root of all evil, then why do they ask for it during church services?
