The hardware shop sell Goo that will dissolve and remove hair, soap, food . . . . . from sewage lines. Note it is not recommended for personal use.

Hi Molees,

A flame thrower is very effective at hair removal irrespective of gender.

Hope this works well for you just because you asked such a dumb question on an ENGINEERING FORUM

Regards

Al

Get a roll of that surgical tape hospitals use. Takes it all off with one application.

Why not use the technology already approved by women? You think that male hair is different or is it your macho feeling ?

WD 40 and Diamond matches.

WD40 and Bic lighter = poor man's flame thrower.

Then there's always sandpaper....

Napalm and a cigarette lighter work very well together. So will concentrated HF, HNO3 or H2SO4. Then how about Pu239? I heard it does a bang up job of removing male bodily hair as well.

Re: body hair remover

As pointed out, it's not really clear if you mean your own hair on your own body or any other possibility. My first inclination was to say 'dental-floss', but you may be entirely serious. Before seeking a solution, I'd be asking in what way is it a problem ? Attitudes to body hair change with culture. Some women like the hirsute look, and others go for streamlined (a recent survey claimed that of all Europeans, Spanish women found body hair the biggest turn off). Apart from cosmetic reasons, there may be medical reasons to remove hair (apart from a pre-operative shaving). Hairs growing inwards on eye-lashes is one example, but there are probably lots of reasons. Depilation methods that work for women probably work just as well for men, though it's going to be equally true that 'the more you shave it the more it grows'. Electrolysis claims to permanently kill the hair follicles. However, those with epilepsy should avoid electrolysis and laser treatments. Hormone treatment may be applicable in some cases. I'd think carefully before embarking on radical treatments, since the skin is arguably the bodies biggest and most visible organ. Unless there are medical reasons for hair removal, it's probably better to be 'comfortable in your own skin' as the saying goes.

Hmmmm, I sense a new market for products from my company, Consolidated Gookumpucky. I sure many of our fine adhesives and sealants can be adapted to hair removal. Perphaps our aviation gasket sealer mixed with a bit of mineral oil....

....that's just Del being Del. Our former PM was lampooed as being very grey, and our new money-man, Darling*, just delivered a fairly bland budget speech. All a bit off-topic, especially since I've updated my tag-line.

Give it another 10 years, and attitudes to body hair will probably change like hair on the head.

Oh contrair mi amigo! I live here and down at the seaside, there is a very high percentage of women who prefer to shave the lot! Don't ya just love this country (if you follow!) I must just add for the benefit of the OP, that the trend in the younger generation of men in Spain is to also shave everywhere! so here, (if it is indeed you who want to remove your hair) would be called a Metro (metro-sexual) and I don't think it has anything to do with train spotting! They use wax if that is of any help!

In fact Kris misunderstood the survey. It was about Spanish men who are turned off by hair (women's, I suppose).

Re: body hair remover

The Times (16th Feb) had a survey linked to this ;

ARE you a clean-shaven, well-groomed kinda guy? If so, you may want to reconsider your look. According to a poll this week, shaggy is sexy. The survey of European women of all ages revealed that hairy men are surprisingly popular. Nearly half of Norwegian women would happily woo a Wookie.

The pollsters didn't ask why they find hairy men so hot; maybe it's because excess hair represents raw, testosterone-fuelled manliness. Or perhaps it's because you know they'll always have a spare scrunchie when you need one.

The on-line edition doesn't have the statistics, but if I can find the hard copy I'll post it. Anyways, the ranking had Spanish women least likely to enjoy a Wookie. This doesn't, of course, preclude the possibility that Spanish men enjoy each others hair. Another curious 'I read' story, was that many European swimming pools don't allow boxer-short style swim-wear. Presumably, German women have to wear a wet-suit.

A poor use of words and I said something unpleasant. I am sorry. I should have written: The author of the survey have notes referring to Spanish ladies mixed up....

On Saturday The Times has a section called 'Body & Soul'. It's a good read, and abstracts can be found at timesonline. Each week they give a tongue-in-cheek analysis of a recent survey. The Dr Copperfield column is hilarious sometimes, though you probably need to know the Brit system to see the funny side. I still can't find the stats I referred to.

I just realized the original poster might be asking, not for a body hair remover for males, but for a male that removes body hair. In that case, I'm not sure I can help as I haven't seen my tweezers in a long time.

i want male body hair remover

Our coforumist, molees, wrote for a research lab. They try to find the remedies for a disorder called trichotillomania*, a disorder who devastates mostly the male regnum. This is why he is looking for male subjects who will present the symptom of the disease.

*Trichotillomania (trik-o-til-o-MAY-ne-uh) is sometimes called hair-pulling disorder, trich or pulling.
