A Little Tease or Conundrum???

03/25/2008 4:02 PM

Okay here is a simple story....

Two blokes John and Tom, work together, one day Tom is off work and so John has to refer to Tom's notebook to see where he had got to in the project...

He opened Tom's notebook and found blank pages... Then he smiled to himself as he remembered something and turned the notebook upside down and back to front - and then started reading...

What had John remembered??

John.

Is Tom Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or maybe Hebrew or Arabic? Does he write right to left?

You can't judge a book by its cover!!!

Was he reading in a reflective Polaroid surface?

John remembered that Tom works on two projects (that is, if he ever came to work), so one project goes one way, the other the other way.

Tom puts pictures in the notebook that are frames of a stop motion movie that may be viewed when the pages are flipped through from back to front.

He remembered that Tom never marked the front cover of the book.

The notebook was a ruse. Tom kept his notes in his computer, but wrote his password for accessin his notes upaside down on the last page of the book.

Yeah, I don't know either...

Backward Engineering, If someone seeks how far they have gotten, look at the result and follow the progression that led to it.

Tom is a sinister fellow, and doesn't like to smear his ink.

Just like me!

Well done CSM and -A- both of course right Tom is left handed like me and sounds like -A-??

A bit too easy methinks... especially as I reckon there is quite a few left handers in this forum??

Guilty. My paw and drawl are both Southern.

Strangely, most of the Engineers here at "Company Name," are lefties.

I wonder if this is true elsewhere? Hmmm.

If Tom is left-handed, then why does he leave his notebook sitting in a right-handed orientation?

Son of a gun! It depends on which axis of rotation you use; I missed that. Good one!

Wait a minute! I may be slow, but I make up for it by being thick. Why did he do 2 rotations? Why not 1 about the z axis? Are there special notebooks for lefties with the back of the pages upside down?
