Why not do as I did as a young teenager (mid 60's) and make two lead sheets separated by matchsticks and held together.

Put lead sheets into H2SO4 solution, charge up and then stand in wonderment when you put a light bulb across it and it stays lit for several seconds.

There's nothing like first hand experience!

Thanks to Rebuilt for the site link. Del the Cat and others had fun with the Junkyard Battery Contest last year.

Dear Friend

There are various types of lead acid battery, like Tubular lead acid battery ( again there are two types, normal discharge and high discharge performance ), Plante type lead acid battery & Sealed maintenance free valve regulated lead acid battery ( SMF, in short ). Automobile battery is different from industrial battery & depending on application right type of battery is to be selected.

This is a vast subject. Give a google search for each type and see what you exactly want in your presentation.

Thanks and regards
