	If a Star is 3000 light years away from Earth, then what we are seeing when we look up at night is light from that Star that left there 3000 years ago. My question is; How do we know that Star actually exists now in real time, as it could have exploded say 2000 years ago and we would still be seeing its light as though it were still there! How do we know that Stars are actually still there in existence? ( Without bouncing lasers or sounds off them )

	We are all here (Because we are not all there). The best way to find out if body is still there is with the Gravity-Coin meter. You set up the meter and measure the gravity effect of the star. 	But doesn't the Gravity Coin Meter only work with pre 1941 coins and in any case, if you flip the coin three times, how do you know that heads are not tails?

	Why are all you imaginary people insisting on talking about stars and coins? This isn't a good dream at all! I have half a mind to wake up and make you all disappear forever. Now...I'm going to roll back over in bed and count to 100. If you illusions aren't all back in your proper places by the time I finish then I shall have to pretend something very unpleasant indeed.

	Even with all the new equipment used today (xray, optical, radio magnetic etc.) and all the precise cataloging of stars, we really can't "see" that the star is really there or not. We can predict where it will be and possibly how much longer it may exist (that we can see it) by the stability we measure now. Unfortunately this may be eons. The easiest way would be to come back in 3000 years and see if it's still there. Kinda hard. If a supernova is discovered we can date the "approximate" time that it occurred. Then again I believe there are many on this site that just may be extraterrestrial. We should ask them. __________________ The last fight was my fault. My wife asked "What's on the TV?" 	And so.....if we were THERE and not here and we had an exceptionally powerful telescope to look at Earth with, would we see people walking around dressed like they were in the time of Jesus? Or alternatively, would we see some guy working away trying to invent a Coin Gravity Meter? The mind boggles indeed! Maybe there are extra terrestrials up THERE saying maybe there are extra terrestrials down HERE and procrastinating on whether we really exist or not.
