It seemed it's really from server side problem. You can't do nothing but wait. Sometimes it occurred on any hosting.

When I got my Wordpress registration, it came with four pieces of information, which it cautioned me to not lose: Handle, Password, eMail address, and WordPress.com API key. I have no idea of what the last item is for, but I'm passing along this info in case you can make something out of it that might help.

Okay, thanks. This is gonna be a real bitch to fix, since I have the handle, password and email address but not the API key. But then again, I can't even get into the control panel, so I don't know whether even the API key can help me.

They sent me my API key in my membership confirmation eMail. No idea what it's for!

But hey! If you can't get in with what you've got, it might be useful. Find your original confirmation eMail.

Can only guess it's Application Program Interface. Are members who got accounts able download some spec software for creating own php code?

In any case if you're satisfied standard set of tools you needn't care of.

Don't know. My Wordpress is working OK for now, so I haven't had to employ API or any other kind of fix access. Here are the help items I was given with the membership:

No special download facility showed up on the membership confirmation, so far as I am aware.

I said it was only my guessing of. Couple of hosts I've dealt with offered customers a handful of tools for site content management and customization. I didn't use them either.

If all works fine and suits your needs I would be happy for you and really I think you needn't too worry about :). Hey why don't you hit a WordPress forum with that quest? For sure someone have a good answer of this activation key.

That might be a problem, considering that our original site administrator quit without passing it to me. I just took over the post as I may be joining them as full time staff, not part-time volunteer.
