Cinco de Milo day?

05/05/2009 7:44 PM

I have been really excited to find out that around the world, especially in Mexico, many people are celebrating "cinco de milo" day.

I had no idea I was this famous.

My wife suggested that I get my hearing checked.

There is a story about a statue called cinco de milo HERE

And of course I know about she without hands, venus de milo:

Venus de Milo

So anyway, Thanks everyone for celebrating my holiday! Do let me know if you have a better way of celebrating than cutting the arms off of statues!

Cinca de Mayo, is apparently not the same as Cinco de Milo.

Certainly you may well be more famous than you thought, and I may be much more famous than I want to be.

I was prompted to call my brother who has a degree in Art History to ask some about Cinca de Mayo, but I got his machine.

Is this the same holiday as Day of the Dead?

Moose may know what great engineering feats were performed on this day in history.

One of our cats died.

I bought a candle.

Cinco de Milo, Cinca de Milo, Venus de Milo, and now CR4 de Milo.

Jeez the neighborhood is infested with them. I think I'll have another cervasa.

Where is the body of the cat? Where is the arm of Venus?

I know where the beer is.

What if Mr. Rogers sang, "Everything is terrible in the neighborhood, please look at the arm of my neighbor?"

Did you know there's also a chocolate malted drink called Milo ? It's from Nestle. By the way, Cinco de Milo means 5th of Milo in Spanish. Don't tell me you're one of 5 clone deserters from the Grand Army of the Galactic Republic.

According to this, "Milo" is not widely available in the US, and is seen mostly in markets with a large Latino or Asian population.

Now if someone were to use it to make a liqueur, then would Cinco de Milo refer to a fifth of Milo?

That's quite something, I'm lactose intolerant and also a malted milk beverage!

It didn't look the packaging came in fifths?

Thanks for the edification Friends.

milo "not the beverage"

And I'm intolerant of intolerance of any kind, be more kind to these 'lactose' of which you speak.

Sigh, slow week on CR4.

SO YOUR THE BASS TURD! You left them all over my front lawn, and it was not just one. How'd you find your way back home?

P.S. I took them to N.Y. where I get a bigger refund for the deposit. It's paying for my lobster and filet party next weekend!

Well, I didn't find my way home, but thank goodness someone else was barely able to drive me and my car back to my house. Apparently he thought the way to my house was on some very curvy roads, 'cause he sure did turn the steering wheel a lot more than I usually do. I was about as skeered as a drunk can get!

P. S. If you find his cell phone somewhere in your front yard, he sure would like to get it back.
