How To Stop The Oil Spill

06/09/2010 9:45 AM

I understand that the pressure is over 2000 psi so the air source would have to overcome that pressuer- Perhaps something like a welding tank would work

1. Get a thick walled rubber bladder with an air valve on it

2. Insert it several feet into the pipe that is spewing the oil

3. Inflate the bladder so that it plugs the pipe

4. Done

I know so you would have to take into consideration, of course, the PSI. and many other things. It's along the lines of threading into the opening and then having that one way valve on the end.Any way they'll probably have the relief well before anything else gets tried.
