This is just an updated version of the well-debunked 'Jupiter Effect', of which Wikipedia says:
The Jupiter Effect was a best-selling book by John Gribbin, Ph.D., and Stephen Plagemann (pub. 1974) that predicted that an alignment of the planets of the solar system would create a number of catastrophes, including a great earthquake on the San Andreas Fault, on March 10, 1982. The predicted catastrophes did not occur.
In his book, The Little Book of Science (pub. 1999), Dr. Gribbin admitted about his "Jupiter Effect" theory "...I don't like it, and I'm sorry I ever had anything to do with it."

If something happens... It happens. I am not going to worry about something which has .001% chance of effecting me even if it does happen.
I happen to live in the Pacific Northwest... In fact Mt. St. Helens is somewhat "In the back yard". Here we just cope. I am reminded of a severe storm we had about 16 years ago. A nearby marina which was full of houseboats lost all their utilities, so the Red Cross opened an emergency shelter for them. Guess what? Nobody came! They were all on their houseboats barbequing and having a regular party. If a tree falls across the road, you get out the chainsaw... cut the tree up and split it, and you have firewood for the next winter. Anyhow we are a pretty self sufficient bunch.
