I am a bit disappointed. There have been a number of issues in my work and home that I didn't really want to deal with, and put off until today in the hopes that I would never have to deal with them in a future that would not exist. Now it looks like that I will have to face them tomorrow.

Oh well! A happy Christmas or solstice or new year or what ever to all my friends here.

Well my computer crashed that night, & I have been rebuilding my OS for the last several days (& worse reinstalling M$ patches. So maybe the tin foil hat brigade had something!

How many doomsday have we seen pass, in our lifetime? I have lost count of them.

Every day is exactly what you make of it. If it happens to be doomsday..............so be it.

Some say 21st is not the end of the world but beginning of symptoms/events leading to the end of living beings.

The idea that our fate is written in the stars or at the bottom of an empty tea cup is preposterous. History has repeatedly proved that it isn't.

However, that still doesn't stop people from believing it and it will always be that way - which is about the surest prediction we can ever make about ourselves.

During the gale that struck coastal New England yesterday (12/21) the wind got behind the full length tempered glass storm door on my house. Ripping the door stops out of the casing, the wind slammed it into the porch railing.

Ironically the trade name of the door was "Forever Door" I guess you could say that the door did indeed last until the end of time.

Ya need longer wood screws for those hinges.....

I agree, this mayocalypse has been disappointing... at least the last two ends of the world we got to chuckle at a few folks who were genuinely duped. I wonder whether the public has now become too jaded to face the end with the proper anticipation.

They don't hazard any guess of the exact date in 2013, but at least we should have a couple days of advanced warning. Fun, fun, fun!

No one is especially jaded about NASA's predictions, as yet. So it should be interesting times. What will the average person do, upon receiving two days notice to the end of civilization....???

Is that the end of civilization or just the end of being civil (which I think has already passed)?

Modern humans,after conquering moon,mars etc won't believe "Jesus's return" or any miracles. Our ancestors believed. But still in some countries animal sacrifice is going on.

Prediction of "Dooms day" is not scientific,but religious. Therefore we should go through predictions stated in every religion,Nostradamus etc. Good example is Noah's ark in Bible. In Hindu religious texts it is stated that it will take 51,000years for the end of present era called "Kali-Yugaya",when Lord Vishnu(Krishna) will be born as a horseman. Can you believe it?."Kali" means Saturn.
