Usually I just make a snide remark about the person's grammar when I answer the question, but sometimes I'll use some Monty Python material if a really sarcastic one of their skits comes to mind.

Caustic Service is most often used to describe something that is suitable for service with Caustic Soda, Sodium Hydroxide, NaOH, Lye. This is caustic, as in very basic with plenty of -OH's and has a pH of 12-14 for a very concentrated solution. Carbon steel or certain plastics are most often used.

Material is selected by reading test results of experiments, usually obtainable from distributors and Google searches.

Good Luck, Old Salt

For materials compatibility, try this in the first instance.
