What Does BRISK Stand for Under "Project Estimating" Context

I've met the acronym of BRISK in a project responsibility matrix, under the title of "estimating", I've searched via many means without any clue, can anyone give me a prompt, thanks.

Can you give in in more of the context in project extimating. And was it using PMI (Project Management Institute) procedures. There are other organizations, but I beleive PMI, is best known and excepted.

the title for this section is "estimating", under which listed "estimating plan","establish WBS", "+/- 50% estimate (** class 4)","+/- 30% estimate (** class 3)","+/- 10% estimate (** class 2)", and then is the "BRISK", marked with certain support or input liability for the FEED contractor during the FEED stage of the project. this is the context of the said "BRISK", can you get some idea of my question? thanks

I don't recall anything about BRISK in project management using PMI technics

What I was thinking, is that it could be a typo....... When estimating, there are formula's to calculate known and unknown risk.

If it's in a contract, or If you are doing a quote, or using this for quoting or asking for quotes........ You have to address the meaning from the source where you obtain it, if you can.....

Its most likly a probabilistic software.

I cannot access any of the information www. brisksoftware.com seems down at the moment.

Mind me asking if you have knowingly posted AP and why?

If a document uses an acronym without defining it at it's first usage it was written by an idiot. Therefore totally ignore the document, or ask the author.

I totally agree with you, but the author may think the readers are as professional as she/he is. Sometimes I consider such wording is kind of show-off.

A professional would know to define to acronym at first usage (or in an appendix) especially if it's one that Google can't find.
