Have we lost another one?

10/24/2014 5:06 PM

I hope not... PWSlack has not posted in nearly a month. Hope he (or she) is OK. Anyone here from that member?

This is kinda cool, you know when people sorta disappear and wonder if they are still around. I know I have limited time to get on here. Life is just way too busy.

I thought at my age it would be much slower and I'd have time to do the things I want to do, not so. Work is crazy busy. I haven't touched my Bass in months. My wife bought me a new amp, have yet to have the time to plug in and try it. Last Amp was a Cerwin Vega 800 Amp head, 18" reverse folded horn. Great Amp!!

I know I only get on here once in a while when time allows. It's nice to see that you guys sorta keep up on those that get quiet for a while. I work with another engineer that is 82+ and is quicker than I yet... He is a world of knowledge.

I doubt I'll reach his age.

This is good that you guys check up on folks. Hope he's OK. Maybe the change or he just got super busy.

Electroman's post caused me to look to see Who's Online (137 right now).

There are 125 users with identities. That leaves 112"unregistered users" on line.

Does that seem odd to anyone else?

What is an unregistered user? If they post, do they become anonymous posters?

125 + 112 = 237

Only 25 out of 137 were registered users? Yes, I agree... that does seem a bit odd. Who are all the unregistered users and what are they doing? Browsing engineering posts to get some kicks, I guess!

We have requested Admin, many, many times to at least prevent them from posting....to no effect.

Many here feel that only members should be able to post as on most websites....I am one of those.

An unregistered user is someone who is either not registered or registered but not logged in. You cannot post unless you register and log in. So, these unregistered users are just viewing and cannot do anything else on CR4.

Then that has been changed. A good change.

There was a time when unnamed visitors could post....

Andy, it changed more than four years ago.

Registered users can still choose for their posts to be anonymous rather than attributed to their own user names.

The combination of a hard-drive failure and a three-week trip to China has introduced delays.

The concern is appreciated.
