Hi All,
We manufacture ceramic sanitaryware and have occasionally a problem that the pieces are more than oversprayed under sprayed. This the causes the piece to have different color pathes after it went thru the kilns and will have to be scrapped. Although we try to control the variables that have an effect on under spray such as the glaze liter weight, micron sizes and air pressure, It still happens. The glaze have a matt finish prior to entering the kiln, thus my question is: Each piece can be visualy inspected prior to loading on the kiln car, but with normal flouresant lighting it can not be seen. Any idees as to identifieng the defects visually prior to loading?
Thanks for all the interesting comments to follow.
Enjoy.
