Former Nasa Employee Claims She Saw “Humans Walking on Mars”!

In a recent development that Hollywood could only hope for, a former NASA employee is claiming that there was a secret manned mission in the 1970s, and that the space agency covered it up. The woman, identified only as "Jackie," said she was part of the team monitoring the Viking Lander expedition in 1979, and that she saw human figures on Mars.

In a recent development . . . .

Seems like all fiction starts out this way! Now if the date had been 2070, I might believe it.

Designing a parachute that would work in martian atmosphere at 1% the air pressure on earth before 1970 would have required technology that simply wasn't available. A vertical lander would have been required. It would have to have been much bigger than the one used on the moon. And, after a flight time of at least a year in zero G means you probably couldn't stand up even in the reduced gravity of Mars.

The best telescopes of the 1970's would not have been able to see that kind of detail. But, Hollywood never required accuracy to make a film.
