It says right on the back " Not for use with loads exceeding 1250 watts". I know for a fact that the cooker is only 1050 watts. So there you go, its perfectly safe.

Which means I correctly filled out all nine pages of the California EPA and Energy Management Counsel's regulations of usage forms before I ever opened the box.
