While the article leaves me with a general 'This is pie in the sky' feeling, there is an image in the article that is spectacular. If you have a minute, it is worth a look.

I really loved the satellite pic showing the murky water from the Hudson River entering New York Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean following Hurricane Irene.
I live about 2 miles away from the Hudson River in the mid-Hudson River Valley and I can attest that the water in that river was like dark chocolate milk in color (due to severe flooding and massive soil erosion) for at least 2 weeks after Irene passed through upstate NY, CT and VT.....the Hudson's tributary area is huge.
