Brain control is not in the distant future, it's alive and finding useful applications for itself in both academics and the gaming community. Gaming will most likely be the first commercialized success of a brain-computer interface (BCI) much like Kinect with it's motion-controlled sensors from Primesense, jump started other uses of motion control outside of the gaming industry.

Growing up we had a very effective solution for ADHD. It was called farm work. 12 - 15 hours a day for 6 - 7 days a week is guaranteed to take the hyperactivity out of any child.

Toss in a good dose of tractor and machinery operating for much of that time and the attention disorder disapears right quick as well.
