Have a look here:

"A single mature tree can absorb 13 pounds of CO2 per year."

From:

http://www.ofm.wa.gov/sustainability/text/source_impacts.doc

The information given varies with:

  1. Tree Size
  2. Tree Species
  3. Local Climate
  4. Local Humidity
  5. Plantation Trees/Natural Forest
  6. And many other variables.

Please advise with further details of your particular trees.

Kind Regards.....

.

Hi

I am interested in this too, but the link is broken. Any other leads? I am an avid gardener and want to know what I can do in my own backyard to help.

Hello shuksan,

I have the file easily obtainable but you cannot access it directly.

However if you go to Google and copy/paste the weblink into the Google Search Engine, it spins the gears for you, and you can get that Word document in your Browser, via Mr Google system......

It is a little trick:You are denied access, but Google is allowed access to that particular area in the server, so that's how you can obtain it.

Then, if you want to save the document to your own computer, do so.

To read the document, you need either MS Windows Office Word or Open Office.

I could have sent you a copy of the file, Zipped, via the CR4 message system, but the Forum Software does not presently allow that facility, probably for Security reasons.

As far as your own backyard situation - There are variables and location, size, soil type, climate, and more needs to be known, before useful advice could be given.

Cheers.....
