<just want to know ...>

Here goes:

Just assume you are in a50Hz Regime=3000 RPM drive
Hence for 500000VA ~/450000 WATT with assumption of 95% η

Your Torque needed= (450000÷0.95)/2Π.50= 1570 Newton-meter approx

The power required is 430kw assuming that 500 kva genset has a 0.8Pf and eff.of0.93 as is normally the case.Now what is the set rpm?assume 1500 rpm Synchronous.You can calculate the torque.Engine eff to be taken in to while arriving at deciding engine HP.Why do u want the torque?
