difference of 50 hz and 60 hz machines

hello friends,

i have known about the size difference about the machines which have difference hertz operation conditions since my lessons from the university, but i do not exactly know the why 60 hz machines size smaller than the 50 hz machines size?

for the same plate values

if anyone knows i will happy friends:)

At 60 Hz, the iron required is lower than at 50 Hz. This is due to the flux constraints of the iron.

Voltage have a ralation V=4.44*Φ*f*P, in case of higher f, Φ requirement is less for same voltage . where pole remains same. Flux requirement less means you require less cross section of core. Thus Machine size reduces.
