Cooperation....Kudos to All CR4 Members

03/26/2008 8:42 AM

For many years the worlds problems have been just that problems.

We as people have always had difficulties getting along and being able to share ideas globally because cultural differences get in the way. Politicians argue constantly about which party is the right party to be a part of. Who's ideals and standards are best and who is right about all those ideals and standards.

For engineers, builders, mechanics, electricians and the like it seems to be different. Sure we all have different ideas as to what we think is the right answer and what we think is the best way to solve a problem. But the thing we do here is listen to one another and sometimes combine our ideas to come up with a viable solution.

Thats what I like about CR4. Yes we can be critical of one another and we bicker on occasion but we al will still work together to solve a problem. The harder the problem the better we work together. Being an American I have been following the primary for the up and coming Presidential election and I must say I am quite appalled by all the trash that I keep seeing about the different nominees. What happened to the issues.

At least when we have problems the issues don't get sidetracked (even though some of us do, myself included) I have been a member for a bit on here and yes I have had my problems with some of the etiquette on here but as a whole I have found the we as people of the world as a whole get along fabulously. We are from different cultures, different lands and different religions yet we can function well together on common ground, helping each other no matter what our personal beliefs may be.

Basically I just wanted to say Thanks CR4 and Kudos to all it's members for doing what world leaders seem to fail at continuously. Keep up the good work!!!

Maybe we should put ourselves up for a Pulitzer?

Great to be patted on the back.....but your signature is threatening..

Seriously...All CR4 members are candidates for praise for the job they do to solve problems of each other...sometimes they do get entangled in ego-clash on ideas..but soon all is forgotten..

This forum rocks...

My Daddy was a mining engineer, and his Daddy was too.

I remember my Daddy saying that the Viet Nam War was just an exercise to keep the troops warmed up in case a real war was to pop up.

He was wrong.

On the other hand, he was a hell of an engineer, and as W5UWS he was an early adopter and a good circuits kinda guy.

Hereabouts, I've seen more politics than I would have thought I would see; or desire: and I've been characterized politically because of my (in my opinion) "extremely well thought out" perspectives. So, it has been an education to me.

I'm not as positive as double_j_b, but I keep coming back, so ?uh? obviously I impute some value to y'all, and "good on us", I think I'll have a beer.

It is great to know that Engineers and engineering students can get along so well no matter where they come from. Too bad none of would want to be politicians. Between engineers, doctors and the like we are all the intelligent people of the world. No, we do not know everything but we are knowledgeable enough to know just that. And so we do our research when we don't know.

My mentoring professor had an idea he wanted for the Congresses of government. He said that anyone who wants to represent a body in a vote for laws and statutes should be able to pass an expert level exam concerning that particular topic before he or she should so much as open their mouth. I am not sure that we could ever implement anything like this, but the mentality could be along the same lines.

Unfortunately, politics and religions separate people... Fortunately, science and art unite people... CR4 is the best proof for this and I'm so glad... Let's keep on the good work... ...

Yes G.K, that is true, and I think that a lot of people, especially engineers, are characterized by their excellent sensitives and feelings towards since and art, and they are capable to help the humanity.

This is what I am talking about we have had several people from different countries reply and I would venture to say from different religions. Yet all are in agreement about the topic.

I thing what we need are engineers and artisans for elected officials instead of the normal riffraff of lawyers and greedy businessmen.

Thanks for solidifying what I was referring to, it's the only restoration in the faith in humanity I get now days.
