The specifications for ocean going containers must be available somewhere. I can't imagine that something requiring initial and periodic certification for suitability, isn't available in a 3D CAD model. I also can't imagine anyone designing and building anything to an international standard not doing so in a modern 3D CAD software.

Container manufacturers have a vested interest in making it easy for other manufacturers of related equipment to have access to the data.

The crane manufacturers so they can perform FEA analysis

The civil engineers who design the storage facilities at each port.

The trailer manufacturers who ultimately transport the containers and their cargo's over the highways to their final destination.

I'm sure there are others too.

I suggest you find out who makes them and ask them.

I have been inundated with container drawing requests and for this reason I have decided that I will no longer supply anyone with any container detail drawings.

So, please do not contact me anymore. I will however provide these drawings to this site if they can store them.

I am not sure if it would be an easy thing to do, but wikipedia is a great spot to post information. relying on experts (and not-so experts) to post, update, and edit postings... neat concept, and governed "by the People" - kind of how the internet was envisioned...

I am just not sure if you could post a CAD file or similar
