Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for your fast response. The info.was very useful.

I am interested to know, normally, among the three grades of hexane which one undergoes the most processing and refining? This will give some ideas of comparison of prices. Thanks

You will notice that the food-grade hexane has <1/3 of the benzene that the standard product has. This may not be the only difference, but it is an important one, since benzene is a carcinogen.

Because of more refinement in processing for higher purity, food grade ANYTHING is more expensive than industrial grade.
