Graphics Problem in Posts - CR4 Problem

It took you a long time to spot this Sparky ! I've been indecently naked for the past day or two. I mailed mgaulin but, alas, it's been the weekend.

Darn it, they've even removed the 'check this box to remove current picture' thing. Obviously the sight of my nakedness has compelled them to stop others doing similar.

We have a server issue on our end that's causing the image problem. We're working to fix it.

As the old saying goes, there's more than one way to... sorry, Del.

You can upload your graphic to a photo sharing site such as Photobucket or Flickr, then use the url to the pic. I just did that with two photos for a new picture challenge thread. This might help CR4 conserve bandwith too.

But as you can see, if the still had the graphics problem, then externally hosted graphics would probably also be affected.

The main problem with Live Hyperlinks to externally hosted graphics, is the eventual infesting of malware from some externally linked graphic to the Server on which a Topic or Post is placed.

On several Forums all Live External Hyperlinks are banned, for that very reason.

And a Vote of grateful thanks to the hard-working Admin, who have solved the problem.

Dear CR4,

I still cannot load an avatar. Mine disappeared around Friday (?) and I've tried reloading it repeatedly, but still with no success. At first I got a detailed message regarding the server error, then later I just got a brief message that just said

"Server Error", and now it acts like it's loading the edited profile, but when I go to look at it, the avatar is just not there. I've tried several other jpg files as well, but none of those work either. Nor do I have access to the standard avatars.

Please help!

I see you now have an Avatar there, so it appears the problem has been solved.

Yes, they do seem to have solved the problem, for me at least. I do see that there seem to be a few yet that are still not loading, but I imagine they are working on it even now. Thanks

Aha.....my 'new' picture has your excellent general knowledge caught short ! I've used () him before - It's Spring Heeled Jack, of Olde Londone Towne. He googles quite well, and harks back to an age of 'Penny Dredfuls' and such. Many a fair lady swooned at his appearance.
