Weight Factor of Mild Steel Tube

hello guy's

can u tell; me how to calculate weight factor of mild steel tube,

the tube lenght- 1 meter, thickness-0.71mm and outer dia-10 mm

can you work out volume?

100 x 0.071 x 3.14 x 0.25 x 7.8 /1000 =?Kg

Dear Mr. Tare,

You put the formula for wt. factor for ms tube

OD(mm)-Thick(mm)*Thick(mm)*0.248=wt. per meter.

If you are not, you should have found the answer yourself. This point is again and again coming up in forum discussions. Many questions are being asked, without self help, efforts to solve.

Hi prashanttare, Let me give a much simpler way to calculate the weight of the steel tube in kgs/ meter. The formula is as follows : D x t x 25 divided by 1000 = kgs/meter.. where D = Outer Dia in mm., t = thickness in mm. Therefore the answer is 10 x 0.71 x 25 / 1000 = 0.1775 kgs/meter. Good Luck.
