since I'm on the topic of dyes, I don't know what is in banana skins. They are astringent though, so there's something to em. Not much color to be gotten by my guess, but might contribute something as a mordant...

on the other, er, hand, if you put the banana skins in the compost and pee on em, you'll soon get a hot one going...

Yes...compost - nitrates derived from the urea of urine and chopped banana peels both provide materials for composting ...so if compost is considered as useful then both are useful.

The best thing about beans is that they can provide fuel even after being eaten, as anybody who has ever pigged out on beer and Mexican food the night before can attest to in the morning. . Harvesting the resultant biogas might be a little problematic though.

I do not know where you are but i will like to share on information with you. In India we had a Priminister by name Mr. Morarji Desi ( I may have wrong spelling and do applogize for this). This guy for sure use to drink his morning urine and clain that this he is doing as medecine purpose. Do not know how right this is.

Fact is Urine is collection of discarded minirals from anionic to cationic in nature but dominates in basic side of it. If it is base then it is good for addition is in composite. and if dry urine then we will get mineral can this mineral be ore one has to determine.

I was under the general impression that the best use of urine was related to its similarity to Urea, chemically, which was useful as a very low grade glue dependent on bonding out of pressure.

Of itself apparently drinking it as a substitute for beer, is recommended.

As far as a product from banana peelings, so far their main use has been witnessed in old silent motion pictures wherein people slipped on them, and fell down.

Certainly there is likely to be a more serious and beneficial use for them, if only as compost.

However the traditional use of them as a comic hazard, is not without complete merit.

Urea is basically toxic: kidneys are specially designed to handle it. Also, any other toxic stuff including chemicals and metals that your body has managed to get rid of are in the urine. Why on earth would it be good to drink?
