what is the minimum electic current that can harm or kill chicken.

Provided that the ID of the pipework is sufficiently large, and it is well earthed, the chickens should be fine.

Avoid peristaltic pumps.

Are we talking about conductivity probes?
In the true spirit of CR4 and trying to be helpful despite an incomprehensible question...
Many conductivity probes operate on 15v ac, dunno if a chicken could make contact with both probes at once... dunno if 15v ac would upset a chook.

Keep the design simple, avoid mains supply - use a battery hen.
