How many ways do I thread you? Let me tell you the ways!

By single point cutting tool bits as in a lathe.

By multi-thread cutting tools mounted in a 'head' in a lathe or screw machine.

By rolling the stock through a set of hardened thread profile rollers under high pressure.

By hot forging larger sizes.

By hand with die-stock and die buttons.

By hand with a thread comb applied to stock in lathe.

By hand carving in wood.

By hand filing a metal rod

By hand or machine tapping nut blanks or drilled holes.

"How Things Work" may have more.
