Is it for detecting vibration of the bridge?

This EM sensor is used to measure stress / force at cable in real time on the cable stayed bridge.

This sensor will be connected to Stucture Health Monitoring System / SHMS, it is part of sensors in the SHMS system.

This is new sensor which replace accelerometer sensor.

http://smart-structures.com/products/emsensors.htm

The sensor measures tension forces of cable bridges or pc tendons. The above site contains basic concept and applications. Also, you can buy the EM sensor from the company.
