Joining and Terminating HT Power Cables

Dear sir,

making jointing or termination of ht cables, we need to cleen the surface of insulation.there are some time papar simiconductor ,cloth type simiconductor

and some time rubber type simiconductor,so how we can remove these metrarial from the surface of insulation,

1= what kind of chemical metarials,

2= what kind of tools

The cleaning products list should be available from the cable manufacturer web site. Depending on the specific material used, certain solvents could reduce the life expectancy or the dielectric strength of the cable.

One word of advise that is universal. Turn the power off and ground the conductors and equipment before doing any maintenance on HV system. Make sure that you have a good "tag off and lock down" procedure.

Also, I suggest that you use the spell checker function before submitting your posts. It makes it easier to read your question.
