I'm not sure i have understood what you are trying to do, i expect what you're trying to do is display the values of a cell from one sheet on another?

If this is correct it should be as simple as typing = in the cell you wish to display the value of the other cell, and navigating using the tabs at the bottom to the sheet you want, selecting the cell and hitting enter

You can use this method to import data from a different sheet

The method is :

1)open both worksheets (if 2 sheets in same worksheet - no need to )

2)in the cell you want to place the data from another sheet type '+'. (you can even use any math sign as part of a calculation, i.e. '+2.023 * '

3)with the mouse go to the new sheet and left-button the data from this other sheet and hit ENTER

4)you should get the requested data where you wanted it

5)note: any change in the other sheet will be seen also in the new sheet

Why don't you try the help function of Excell? It tells you exactly how to go about this. It is easy!

To link to a different sheet in the same workbook, you use =SheetName followed by ! then the Cell reference, as follows:-

e.g if you want to show the value of Cell D9 which is on Sheet2 of the workbook, you enter =Sheet2!D9

Obviously if you have renamed the sheets then the formula to link to Cell C15 on a sheet named May_09 would be thus

=May_09!C15

Hope this helps you.

Cheers

If you have a common data in each sheet you can use the Vlookup function in Excel

Usually I have to compare or link sheets and this works fine.
