Absorption heat engine

05/24/2009 6:03 AM

Absorption heat pumps are available, ( Italian Robur). http://www.robur.com/

For power production they are not efficient due to the slow absorption process and especially because of the wasted pressure of the hot water from the generator that is not used.

Denso introduced a new type of truck refrigeration and the new Toyota Prius is equipped with ejector technology. It is used in the new Eco-Cute water heather too. It is a Liquid Jet Compressor (LJC) that vacuums the evaporator using the condensed liquid.

My idea is to use the LJC in an absorption heat engine and vacuum the outlet of the turbine. This will decrease the pressure, increasing efficiency and augment the pressure in the absorber speeding the process.

Refrigeration can be extracted, after the turbine introducing ambient heat in the system.

If someone could find the specs of the Denso LJC, we could go one step farther and do an energy analysis.

I have info at; http://solarheatengine.blogspot.com/
