Diesel Engines and Regenerative Power

Hello, read an engine spec, says "regenerative power" is 32 kw... just wonder what does this Regenerative Power means?

Hmmm.....

  • Regeneration is a method of taking kinetic energy and sending it back into the supply in the case of a decelerating electric train. The energy is used to reduce the demands upon the power supply, rather than it being frittered away via braking friction.
