How to Classify Reinforcing Bars (Rebar)

In Philippine construction, how are the reinforcing bars classified according to their weight, diameter and strength? can you please post the list of reinforcing bars available in the Philippine market? thanks, i'm a civil eng'g stud.

Hello RC,

Take a really good look at the links in this site. There is so many I hope one will suite you. Do not forget as the Philippines is just North of Australia this may be the supply to check out.

This site also explains how to use and 'place' the re bar.

hi Rico,

visit the sites of the Philippine rebar manufacturers and download their standards. Capitol Steel, for example, has a copy of PNS 49 standard in their site.

these standards will show you even the rebar color coding that is used all over the country.
