1997 Dodge B3500 Van - Spring Hangers

Lonster I would think any experienced mechanic would be able to rebuild the spring hangers and reinforce the frame if needed without a kit. These parts could be obtained at a salvage yard as a last resort. I would be concerned with the why, as in why this happened. A 3500 is usually a pretty heavy duty vehicle and it would normally take a grossly overloaded condition to cause this damage unless the frame has been weakened by corrosion. Finding this condition necessitates a complete frame inspection and maybe even a report to the NTSB will be in order depending on the cause found. You should also check for any OEM & NTSB Bulletins concerning this vehicle, you may be eligible for repairs covered by a recall. Be sure the repairs are made using good mechanical practices for this could lead to a catastrophic failure. J.Conway
