OMRON PLC

10/10/2009 9:34 AM

I HAVE AN OMRON PLC

MODEL : CQM1H CPU51

PROGRAMMING S/W USED : CX-PROGRAMMER

I WANT TO USE 4 I/O CARDS

THE DETAILS OF THE I/O CARDS ARE AS FOLLOWS

CARD 1 : INPUT CARD

CARD 2 : INPUT CARD

CARD 3 : OUTPUT CARD

CARD 4 : OUTPUT CARD

CAN I SIMPLY INSERT THE CORRESPONDING I/O CARDS TO ANY OF THE SLOTE ?

IF SO WILL THE PLC RECOGNIZE THE CORRESPONDING CARDS WHETHER ITS AN INPUT CARD OR AN OUTPUT CARD ?

OR SHOULD WE DO ANY CONFIGURATIONS IN THE S/W ?

Please turn your "caps" key off. It is considered shouting in these forums.

Thank you.

Many readers consider it very rude. A better response will be obtained by being polite.

It's probably in all our nature: attention to detail.

you typically have to configure the PLC to tell it what is attached to it. Most will "fault" if you pull or add an I/O. This is done thru the programming software, which you will need since you are changing the inputs/outputs therefore changing the logic.

I/O cards to be inserted to the respective slots.

When u quote a PLC Vendor configured it according to ur order specification

All configuration done through programming by vendor

if u dont know anything consult your vendor instead of playing with it

You have to insterts I/O cards and connect respective I/O's....refer PLC I/O List
