Bored Housewives

10/29/2009 3:57 AM

I had no idea that there were soooo many bored housewives IN MY AREA, all waiting to meet ME................that is, until I needed to run some software that switched my firewall off!

Now that I have corrected the problem, I have run every type of SUPERantispyware and virus scanner to remove unwanted stuff BUT STILL I get emails from all these unsolicited sites that I just can't be doing with on my office 'puter!

Has anyone found a solution for this???? I can't believe I'm the only one these housewives want to contact !

Regretably, I haven't got the time to meet them all and none of the emails have an unsubscribe type of link!

Wow! That's almost as bad as posting an e-mail address in an on-line forum. There's so much money just oozing out of Nigeria that it is so very tempting to help. Really? Pull the other one; it's got bells on.....

Hi PW

I wondered when I posted the question if I would get a solution to the problem or whether 'mirth' would take over. I must admit to waiting for comments from other 'cat' type avatars with trepidation!

That's because you're using the wrong type of software. You should be using spam blocking software instead of antivirus or antispyware software.

On the other hand, maybe, just maybe, you could just strike a fortune in Nigeria after all, in which case you can choose the prettiest of the women who want to meet you as your wife, assuming you're not married that is .

Thanks DV!

I've never used spam blocking stuff before for fear of blocking good stuff. It does seem to have fixed my problem though. Thanks again!

Oh, If I do happen to get any more bored housewives phone numbers, should I forward them on to you or PW or even.........Del the Cat !

I'm pretty sure Mrs. Cat would use her claws to "fix" Del if you did....

Thanks for your comment! Although to my relief, all the bored housewives have now disappeared. However, the good news ends there as those emails have been replaced by "HELP, I'VE LOST MY DOG"!

I'm not sure what they are about as I'm not game enough to open them! Now, these ones are probably what should be forwarded to Del?????
