Load Lifter or Montacarga

11/05/2009 5:11 AM

I want to know what regulation cover a device to up or down a load ,no persons.

Stroke 6 meter.

Load 2000 Kg.

Speed , slow , does not matter, it will be used once a month.

No rigid rails guide. Nothing to be see after any movement done.

Fixed in a building roof.

To to rise and down a car from a roof, to the 3rd level floor in a mall shopping, to be show by the car dealer.

To work with no public arround, nigth hour

I think in a 4 leg gantry , a plataform , 4 wire or cable each corner, wind in 4 drums, 2 shaft , driven by ASA link chain , from a gear box.

The plataform will close the hole in the roof , when not in use.

Machines over the gantry.

Actuated by electric motor + gear box, with normally applied brake when no power is apply.

Main concern , how to make a safety device

No way to locate a bumper at the floor.

I clear fact , a fixed crane.

Have you already checked the requirements of you local saftey and hazard prevention codes? Problably it might also be necessary that specific building codes apply.

Hi devitg,

Can you fix monrail beam on the top supported by roof. If yes then you can install Electric Hoist on the monorail.
