IT IS THE EQUIVALENT OF SHOUTING. CAPS ARE USED TO DRAW ATTENTION TO A WORD.
TO EMPHASISE EVERY WORD REGARDLESS OF IT'S IMPORTANCE IS VERY MUCH LIKE SHOUTING AND ITCANBEMOREDIFFICULTTOREAD. HAS THIS IRRITATED YOU YET? IT HAS CERTAINLY IRRITATED ME, AND I'M WRITING THE SUCKER

DEL THE SHOUTY CAT

(Ahhh isn't this much friendlier and nicer...prrrr prrrr)

All caps is considered shouting, hard to read, rude, and annoying (exception granted here)

What is the general feeling about the OCCASIONAL cap word for emphasis?

Would the "occasional" quoted word be better to show emphasis?

Just curious about general opinions.

I prefer bold, italic, underlines better (preferably bold italic is not that decipherable and I put in especially where I am verbatim copying from other sources eg wiki, or some other reference : Not here though)

For emphasis, I prefer Bold and then bold-underline.

Caps are for insulting. DESPITE SO MANY POSTS IN THE SITE STILL YOU ARE ASKING WHAT IS THE WEIGHT OF H BEAM ?

What I HATE WITH THE WHITE HOT FURY OF A THOUSAND DEATHS are posts that start with, " Dear All", or "Dears", or Dear Sirs, not to mention the butchered spelling of same.

And what irritates me more are the SMS languages. at least we can talk properly.

AND CAT, THERE IS ONE MORE PROBLEM WITH CAPITAL LETTERS, JUST THINK OVER IT. It is just a bit more difficult to read the all caps (may be for me). If the sentences are not formed with proper Caps at proper place, at least my brain (or eyes) take just a fraction more time to decipher the meaning.

May be it is only me, or may be it is general. Any thoughts?
