Posting Pictures on CR4

02/18/2010 1:57 PM

Could anyone help me with the format to post a picture in a reply on this forum?

The green camera, above in the reply window, will open a window that will allow you to browse your files and attach pictures.

That's it simplistically. There are others here who can be more descriptive, I'm sure.

Give it a try. You can't hurt anything.

lynlynch pretty well summed it up. Use the camera tool () to through files on your system (I'm not sure of all the supported formats, but .gif, .bmp and .jpg definitely work), then select the file, click Open then Submit. Job done.

Thanks to both of you, but for some reason I do not see a green camera when I hit the reply icon. Maybe I have a different format. Appreciate your help though.

okiescienceprof: Hello, seems you and I have the same problem, that elusive green camera that all are talking about. I have for a while been trying to post pics of a completed project that CR4'ers helped me with but to no avail. Please let me know if you come right with this, and I will do likewise.

If you are using Safari, there is no camera (no tool bar at all).

Download (Mozilla.com), install, and use Firefox instead.

And when you're feeling a bit more ambitious, see Sparky's tutorial:-

Sparkstation (sadly missed)

No-one knows - or is prepared to tell, if they do. Lots of us have tried contacting him on-and-off since his last post, to no avail. I seem to recall that Admin have hinted that they know something, but it's a private matter.

I don't have Mozila or gozile program , but the little green camera is in the tool bar with instruction how to upload anything from my computer. Don't ask me how it works.

If you're using Internet Explorer, it will be there. Apparently some some browsers don't support it (along with the rest of the toolbar). This could be blamed either on CR4, or the browser in question. It's one of those 3rd party squabble scenarios.
