The question here is did the car run after the accident. As most pumps are sitting close to the rear it might got disabled. And no It won't start if the pump is not running.

To bad you did all this work and it won't run, however I don't think its a expensive issue, just need to hook it up and get the fault code.

FIRST THINGS FIRST WITH THESE GM'S !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does your car have a PASSLOCK Theft Deterrent? Does the "Theft" light remain on or blink after attempting to start?

If so, after attempting to start, leave the key in the ON position for 10-15 minutes to allow it to reset. When the light goes out, turn off the key, and then start again.

THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH PASSLOCK.

Thie symptom/problem may not reappear for months on end.

I am being very cheeky today so feel free to ignore this response. It is being marked 'off topic'.

But, my response is this;

Based on actual and vicarious experience.

Throw it away and get a new one (car that is, NOT another Cavalier) just like everyone else that has ever owned a Cavalier for more than 5 years (Or was more than 5yrs. old).

Ive got a 2001 Cavalier with over 150,000 miles on it. Other than replace the normal wear and tear items haven't had any problems whats so ever. If Cavs are such bad cars why do I see so many still on the road?

So many on the road because they were CHEAP! Not inexpensive. CHEAP!

My extended family has thrown 5 of them away since 2006 due to the incredible cost of maintenance. The only car that is worse, in my experience, is the Dodge/Plymouth Neon.

US car manufacturers have a habit of building in obsolescence. GM just recently admitted this in conjunction with all the bailout and recall news. They are inexpensive to get into, but costs are high on the back end. ON PURPOSE!

Go research it through Consumer Reports, J.D. Power, or any other unbiased source you trust.

No fuel pump working properly and the engine will not run! Pissed off alarm could also do that to your car too! Need to know more to pass judgement.

thank you for your information on the sensor in the ignition switch, we tried resetting the anti-theft system but it did not start.

check the sensor in the ignition switch that detects the key. These tend to fail intermittently and cause false anti-theft shutdowns.

I'm not familiar with this car but, is it fuel injected? If so it may well have a cut-out switch on the fuel pump that is activated in a crash to limit fuel spillage. You might have to re-set this switch to get the fuel pump to run.

I didn't think that European GMs used an inertia switch to cut out the fuel pump in the event of a collision, only Fords do this, I believe.

I agree with a previous post.....

The root cause of your problem is the simple fact that you own a Cavalier.

There is this thing called Google too.....you type in your problem in the little box and SHAZAM....5000 other people who own a computer and a Cavalier will have posted their trials and tribulations on the adventure of owning one of these $hitbox cars.

(This post was not meant to insult, but be somewhat of a joke, except the owning a Cavalier and the Google part)

An off topic question or two:-

a) is this Cavalier in Europe or the USA.

b) Are they the same car (basically) in both Europe and the USA?

c) Does the OP live in Europe, USA or somewhere else?

I do feel that the answers to these questions may validate or not, certain infos in this blog......

Repeat the reset procedure with another with another key. Male sure the friver's door is shut dueing the waiting time. If it fails to start, replace the halo sensor (antenna).

Although I am not real sure but isn't the electric fuel pump attached to the oil pressure sending unit so that if there is a crash and the engine quits you wont be pumping gas all around you. I had a wagoneer that I had modified with an electric fuel pump and the instructions told me to install it that way for those reasons.

The OPS supplies a ground signal to the control unit that then supplies a ground to to the fuel pump relay. In most cases it is not related to alarm problems.
