My Son was tidying and found this old laptop, we shared some Dad & Son time playing this archery game.

Well, lynlynch, now we know what we have to do to get a sale.

We have to find an obsolete item, provide evidence that the item has been involved in some mindless destruction, and someone will want it.

LynDoor® Industries is going to have to watch KrisDel's® new business model!

Say, don't you have a limb saw with a rusted blade?

Thank you for your interest in LynDoor® Industries. We strive to beat the crap out of those other guys KrisDel™.

I will be out of the office, on a secret mission for a few days. Please contact Doorman, if you need immediate assistance.

So... what is the trouble with the display? Does the image have a few dead spots?

Dangit Del, that looks much like the Dell Inspiron I have! I could have used some parts from that! If you're ready to recycle (what's left), let me know. I really need a keyboard, my "T" key has to be hammered to get it to work.

Tom D.

P.S. Seriously, if you would be willing to part it out, I'd be happy to pay the postage. PM me if interested.

Actually, it SHOULD only be about $10-15 for the keyboard only, but I completely understand if you do not wish to mess with it.

I'll open it up and see if I can extract the keyboard, then I'll take some pics so you can se if it is the right one.
I can enquire about postage, maybe see if I can slip it under the radar somehow
This message will self destruct in 30 seconds...

Thanks for considering, Del. If it's anything like mine, and I'm sure it is, you need to carefully pry the plastic bezel that goes across the top of the keyboard, around the power key. Once that's off, you will see several screws. Once those are out, the top edge can be tilted up, allowing access to the (delicate) ribbon cable. Once that's disconnected, you can slip the whole mess out.

I'd better check to see what Dell part numbers would work as a replacement for mine. If you have the model number handy, that may tell the tale. I probably won't be on CR4 until tomorrow AM (Central US time), but I'll try to have some more info about the keyboard in mine.

And I see what the problem was, I think it must be related to the mouse driver, too many "pointers" on the screen at one time

Some of those new 3D technologies are amazing; the image looks like it's really coming right out of the screen. What movie were you streaming, Robin Hood?

Never mind the "bullet" features they offer on the left side of "points" to be made in the presentation. Is this a too violent a media? As a conscientious re cycler, myself, I'd like to see you possibly send the keyboard to tdesmit if costs are not exorbitant - Loupy

It turns out it's the wrong make/model of laptop (it was pretty ancient too), TD is going to try and source locally.
I shall take it down to the local council recycling centre (minus the hard drive which has been retained).
