Please have a look at the attached single line diagram and give your comments.

The gensets and transformers are within 15m of the genbus panel.

All the earths will be bonded. Only one (Set at priority 1) genset will be earthed at the star point and the neutral & earth bars will be bonded at the genbus panel.

Myconcern is the prospective earth fault at the step up transformer, would it help if we installed a "Restrictive earth fault CT" on each transformer star point which will in turn shunt the transformer LV ACB's.

Any other protection options?....

First of all, thanks for choosing me to answer your query, though, I must admit that there are better experts available in this forum to clarify your doubt. But, the drawing is not very clear. Can you send me your mail ID thro this forum's mailbox so that I can sen you my mail ID; then you can send me a mail attaching a larger drawing.

The question is interesting. I would like to have a look at it.

Kaylen

This is the first time we have had a question named after one of the daily posters.

I want you to know that I am very hurt that you did not ask me as well as

PW Slack, JR, Lyn, Tornado, TonyS, redfred, Del the cat and all the other posters

who contribute so much to this forum. We feel slighted and left out of an opportunity

to help you with this problem. So we are abstaining from answering this question.

Take that.

Hi wareagle and our regular friends,

It appears that the PO is a newcomer to this site and this is his first posting . So he thought it worth asking his question to an expert thinking that his question probably will be considered as special one and get an expert reply. So do not get hurt and pardon him and consider as a usual one and reply. Regards

So am I, I didn't even get a mention in wareagle's post!

Seriously, though, I assume he was having a bit of a laugh.

Good strategy to attract people towards your question.

I feel there are about 50 experts in electrical field who can answer any question. You may get many useful opinions from different views if most of them answer the question.

We would definitely lie to answer your query. But, for that the drawing has to be readable. Pl. do as I said in my previous post. I shall look into.

Kaylen

I was just joking. We need to keep it on the lite side on occasion. EE65 is an excellent person to ask for a response to your question. Nothing serious was intended in my post. I think I saw that this was your first post. Welcome and keep coming back.

Dear Wareagle ,

Thanks for your reaction . Knowing you for so many years I expected it. Now it is for the PO to put up a clear drawing and explain clearly the subject matter so that we can reply further on the subject.

Regards.
